Unlike many office towers, Silom Square has been designed to connect to the city with direct BTS bridges and a large urban plaza. The design fosters using the base of the building, not only as a destination, but also as a way to connect to other parts of the city. To this extent, pathways for different user groups (school children, office workers, retail visitors, etc.) have been studied and constructively integrated in the building planning. The key to this strategy was making the building contribute to the urban context, providing useful spaces and amenities that will enliven the site and the neighbouring areas. At HB DESIGN, we believe that exceptional results are all in the details of how a project is finished.

Director Hans Brouwer, the driving force behind HB Design, brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished career to the architectural landscape. Born in Hong Kong and educated in Switzerland and the United States, Hans graduated at the top of his class from the University of Southern California. As the Design Studio manager, Shannon is responsible for ensuring all projects are executed with precision throughout each stage of the design process. Her organized and professional approach to designing and managing ensures that all technical packages are completed on time and in accordance with HB's stringent standards.

Nikki is a valuable addition to the HB DESIGN team, bringing her diverse experience in film set design to the world of interior design. She joined our team in 2021 and has since proven to be a reliable and dedicated creator of unique and meaningful spaces for our clients. Nikki is an inspiration seeker and is consistently in tune with current and future aesthetic trends. Nikki enjoys the entire design process from start to finish and is an expert in creating a stress-free experience for our clients due to her calm and confident demeanour. Coming from an extensive line of builders, Shannon is one of HB's most accomplished lead designers, having both a profound appreciation for design and an innate understanding of its processes.

Following her graduation she served the University as Assistant Professor directing a course in collaboration with Professor Diego Maestri. He is based in Phuket, Thailand and is involved in the visualization side of HB Design’s business as well as contracts and overseeing administration. With the aid of prestigious scholarships, he studied architecture in Switzerland and at the University of Southern California where he graduated top of class.

Over a period of eight years, he was involved with and responsible for a number of world-class buildings including Century Tower in Tokyo, Japan and the Commerzbank Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. We’ve designed for three-man operations, two-person start-ups and even that guy who walked in off the street. The look was concepted and designed by retired creative director Sandy Brown and our fearless leader Noma Hanlon (who by the way has a degree in Architecture). Since 2009, Pinn has worked in both the Singapore and Bangkok HB Design studios, engaged in a number of high quality large scale, residential and commercial developments in Singapore, Thailand and India. Her formative career was spent working on a wide variety of projects in India, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Maldives, Singapore and Thailand. With more than 20 years of working experience with Hans Brouwer, Dennis is the longest standing member of HB Design. Hans has worked on a wide variety of award and prize-winning projects and serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore, where he teaches design to senior year students.
Her main focus pertains to HB's internal operations with the goal of helping the team and our clients achieve project goals in an efficient and detail-oriented manner. Chiara is a Registered Architect in Italy and the United Kingdom and is responsible for managing teams in the design and realisation of projects and acts as Client interface. Chaitanya joined HB Design in 2011 where he directs teams delivering large, complex, residential and commercial developments in India and indulges his passion for green, sustainable design. His initial experience of the Asia workplace was gained working for a Dutch firm in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2012, Raimonland, a client with which HB Design had worked with for many years, mandated that both the Architect and Engineer document their project, “The Lofts Ekkamai” using Autodesk Revit. HB Design had extensive experience using the Revit software having documented several projects previously undertaking a full BIM approach (Building information Modelling).
